Green Tara
OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA
In Tibetan culture, and some others, green is considered to include all the other colors. Green Tara is typically pictured as a dark, green-skinned girl of 16. She usually wears striped leggings but above, only her shoulders are covered. She wears the many characteristic ornaments of the samboghakaya. Green Tara has her right foot extended as if about to rise. Her left hand, in the gesture of granting refuge holds the stem of a blue water lily or utpala that waves over her left shoulder while her right hand also holding a flower, offers that which we desire, a boon.
The practice of Green Tara helps to overcome fear and anxiety, but devotees also believe that she can grant wishes, eliminate suffering of all kinds and bring happiness. When called upon, she instantaneously saves us from eight specific calamities: 1) lions and pride; 2) wild elephants and delusions; 3) forest fires and hatred; 4) snakes and envy; 5) robbers and fanatical views; 6) prisons and avarice; 7) floods and lust; 8) demons and doubt. |

Supreme Heruka
OM BADZARTRODHA MAHASHRI HIRUKA HUM PHAD
He is the incarnation of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. He has twenty-one faces, each of which has three eyes, forty-two arms and eight feet. The Mother Buddha has nine faces, ten arms and four feet. His face is white on the right and red on the left and brownish red in the middle. He has glaring eyes that are widely open and look awe-in-spiring. His sharp teeth are protruding. And his hair is reddish yellow and stands on the end. He wears a crown made of skulls and a shirt made of tiger skin with jewels and necklaces as ornaments. There is a snake around his waist.
If the follower practices his Dharma, he can have the threefold nature of a Buddha i.e. Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya and eliminate the three evil gati, .i.e. the hells, hungry ghosts and animals. |

Vajrapani Bodhisattva
OM BADZAR TSANDRA MAHAROKHANA HUM PHAD
He is the manifestation of Shakyamuni Buddha who was preaching the Buddhadharma and also his secret Nirmanakaya.
He appears in many forms. He usually has a dark blue body with one face, two arms and three eyes. His right hand wields a Vajra and his left hand in the front of his breast holds a diamond rope with a hook. Adorned with snakes and various kinds of jewels, he wears a skirt made of tiger skin and crown of five Buddhas. He stands in the midst of Prajna fire with his right leg crooked and his left leg stretched out. His ferocious look shows his great power in the defending the Buddhadharma.
In cultivating the Dharma of this personal tantric deity, the follower will have infinite virtue and great power to eliminate all kinds of demons and all disasters caused by earth, water, fire, wind and voidness. He will fulfill all wishes and go to the pure Land of the West when he passes away. |

Maitreya Bodhisattva
OM BUDDHA METRI MEM SO HA
Maitreya Bodhisattva is the successor of Shakyamuni Buddha.
He has a golden or red body with one head and two arms. On his crown is a Pagoda as an ornament. He positions his hands in front of the breast. His left hand holds a nectar vessel and his right hand a golden wheel. He sits on the lion-lotus-disc throne.
If the followers chant or read silently his incantation or listen to the chant, they will live a long life, become rich and fulfill all wishes.
Legend has it that cloth-bag monk is his incarnation. |

Hayagriva
OM SHI PADMA TATRI HAYA GIRWA SHI HUM PHAD
Hayagriva is the manifestation of Avalokitesvara. In this Thangka he has red body with one head two arms three wide open eyes and protruding teeth. His red and yellow hair and beard stand on the end. On his head is a green horse head. His right hand holds a stick made of skulls and his left hand a rope with a hook. He has human and elephant skin draped over his shoulders and wears a skirt made of tiger skin and crown made of five skulls. Fifty human heads are around his neck with snakes as decoration, his crooked right leg and stretched-out left leg tread on the male and female demons. He stands on the lotus-sun-disc throne which is in the midst of Prajna fire.
His beneficence is to defeat Raksasa, all demons and evil spirits and eight classes of divine beings. He is able to eliminate ignorance, pestilence and sufferings and frustrate evil Dharani and Heterodoxy. So he the head of Hayagriva could be seen on Vajrakilaya and on many other implements and in worshipping. |

Guhyasamaja
HUM BADZAR PHAD OM BADZAR TSANDRA MAHAROKHANA HUM PAD
He has three heads, six arms and three eyes. The face in the middle is dark blue and the face on the right is white and that on the left is red, signifying respectively Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya. He is using his central arms to embrace a Maya, with the right hand holding a Vajra, and the left hand holds a Vajra bell. The other four hands are holding respectively a Dharmachakra, a lotus flower, a sword and a Mani. The Maya is holding the same things. Both wear the Crown of Five Buddhas, heavenly clothes and other ornaments and are sitting across-legged on the lotus-sun0disc throne.
Practicing this Dharma enables the follower to transform the five poisons (desire, anger, ignorance, self importance and doubt) into the nature of the Five Dhyani – Buddhas and the five qualities of perfect wisdom and achieve everything in this life and hereafter. |

The Victorious Hair – Crowned Mother Buddha
OM DRUM SO HA OM AMIRTA AYURDE SO HA
She is female Bodhisattva with three faces and eight arms and one of the three reverend deities of longevity. Her middle face and eight arms are white, symbolizing the elimination of disasters. There is an eye on each side of her forehead; and a coronal is twisting around her hair plaited on her crown. The yellow face on the left side symbolizes benefit and longevity, and the blue face on the right side symbolizes the defeat of devils. The Mother Buddha is holding a Rdo-rji Dril–bu on the one hand of her main arm and a rope on the other. On the right side, there is a statue of an incarnate Buddha on her first hand and arrow on her second hand while the palm of her third hand is facing the front to gratify people’s wishes. On the left side, her first hand is holding up while her second is grasping a bow and her third hand is holding an Amrta – Kalasa with a flower in bloom. According to the Buddhist Scriptures, the followers who practice Buddhism should regard the Victorious hair – Crowned Mother Buddha as a female Bodhisattva who rids of miseries and disasters. Practicing her Dharma can help lengthen their span of life, increase their happiness and wisdom, eliminate their sins and shield them from evil omen. |

Kalachakra
OM HAKYA MALAWARAVA SOHA
In this Thangka above him is Shakyamuni Buddha. On the upper right is the White Tara and on the upper left is the Green Tara. On the lower right is Dhanada and on the lower left is the Yellow Kubera.He is embracing the Mother Buddha and standing on a lotus, the sun’s, moon’s and star’s discs. His two feet tread on Mahesvara and Celestial Mother.
Practising the Dharma of this personal tantric deity can help avoid wars. Disasters and kalpa, promote peace, bring out favourable weather and reap good harvests so that the followers can go to the Pure Land. |

Black Kubera
He is another incarnation of Kubera and has black skin and he is called Black Kubera. There is a snake around his neck. He is stark-naked holding in his left hand a grey rat with a great Mani pearl. He is holding on his right palm bowl made of a skull. He is standing with his legs apart on a man lying on the ground. This means that he is stark-naked without being contaminated by feminine attraction. He meets no obstacles to removing the dust in this mortal life.
If the followers chant his incantation in practicing this Dharma, he will protect them to dispel resentments, eliminate disorders, theft and diseases. |

Three Kachumas
Kachuma, a female ascetic, is a personal tantric deity of Esoteric Buddhism. Kachuma was originally passed on to Sakya Kunganingpo by Luopotrag Mawa Luozawa (a master translator). Latter, she was introduced to the whole Tibet by Sakya and become a personal tantric deity of Esoteric Buddhism. There are three Kachumas represented by three ascetics - - Naruba, Enzapudi and Adalaizhiba. In the middle is Narukaju from the Naru Sect, on the right, Laizhikaju from the Laizhi Sect and on the left, Enazakaju from the Enza Sect. Taken as a whole, they are called Kajuguosom which means three Kachumas.
